Understanding Basic Taxpayer Rights

Taxpayers have volumes of taxpayer rights. The only problem is taxpayers have little or no way to learn about these rights. There are virtually no resources which discuss taxpayer rights. And the IRS employees are generally no help. The IRS employees available to the public have very limited training and they are not required to inform any taxpayer of his or her rights.

For these reasons, it is important for all taxpayers who owe the IRS money to reach out for the right kind of professional help because if you don't know your taxpayer rights, then you can't use them. And, if you don't use your rights, you can lose them. These rights can make the difference between hardship and ease, out of business vs. in business.

At the end of the day, self representation is frustrating, inefficient, time consuming and costly in terms of the results. It is the worst of all possible choices. That is why we are proud to be the first firm exclusively devoted to professional representation before the Collection Division of the IRS. We are equally proud to be the first firm to provide a clearinghouse of helpful information designed to give individual taxpayers an opportunity to learn more about their tax situations and the IRS.

Just know that you are not alone. There are approximately twenty million taxpayers who owe the IRS money. So, for the moment, know that you are in good company.

This website includes information that everybody dealing with the IRS Collection Division should know -- in plain, lay person words. Read carefully and if you would like more help, we are here to answer your questions and explain all your options. Our telephone number is (800) 398-7064, and there is no charge to talk.
